French Competition Authority authorizes the takeover of Bio Habitat by the Trigano Group on the mobile home market

In a press release published on 29 October 2024, the Competition Authority announced that it had unconditionally authorized the acquisition of Bio Habitat by the Trigano group.

This authorization follows an examination of the transaction’s effects on the relevant market, namely the French mobile-home market. According to the Trigano group, the operation should be completed by the end of 2024.

The parties

Bio Habitat is a subsidiary of the Bénéteau Group. It produces leisure accommodation for the outdoor hotel industry in Europe, in particular mobile home lodges under the O’Hara, IRM and Coco Sweet brands. It operates seven production sites in France and one in Italy.

The Trigano Group is a major European player in the production of leisure vehicles (motorhomes and caravans) and leisure accommodation for the outdoor hotel industry (mobile homes and lodges).
