Workshop presented by Joseph Vogel and Sylvain Corvol, experts from Vogel & Vogel, organized in partnership with the AFJE.
Class actions (actions de groupe) have existed under French law since the 2014 Hamon Law on consumer protection and competition. They were comprehensively reformed by Law 2025-391 of 30 April 2025 (Article 16), which will give rise to more frequent and riskier lawsuits for undertakings targeted by the new actions.
What risks and implementation issues are to be expected following this comprehensive reform? Should we be particularly concerned about a resurgence of class actions, and how can we best prepare for them?
We will bring you pragmatic answers to these questions at the workshop.
